A tweak to ActiveRecrord’s named_scope to limit the query to only a defined set of columns - the default is to always select all columns.

Very slick, uses twitter traffic about a topic as a way to rank search results rather than PageRank or similar algorithm. Also fun because its a Yahoo search mashup hosted on Google App Engine.
